Patch Tests / Sensitivity Tests
For your safety, and as an insurance requirement, some treatments require that we test for sensitivity beforehand.
Individual treatments will mention if this is the case, and we will in any case ensure that you are informed in time.
Even if you have had a similar treatment without reaction beforehand, it is still an important check which cannot be waived. The chemicals may not be identical and your physical response to them can change over time. Be very wary of establishments which fail to test.
Tests before eye treatments
All eye treatments require that clients have a patch or sensitivity test 48 hours prior to the treatment. This is a health and safety regulation that must be carried out for insurance purposes, even if you have had the treatment elsewhere previously.
Tests before chemical peel treatments
For chemical peel your sensitivity test should be a week before the treatment.
A test may be recommended for some other skin treatments.
